OUR STORY

In 2003 a small group of visionaries from Hebron Baptist Church saw a need for a free clinic that would minister to the health and spiritual needs of those in our community who were of low income, had no insurance, and had little or no hope of receiving the health care they needed for their families.

 

Today, Hebron Community Health Center continues to do the work it was founded to do, but has added a trade name of Truth’s Community Clinic, to better represent those serving with the clinic. For years the clinic has brought in volunteers from many community churches and organizations, so we wanted to better reflect that we are serving Truth. 

Sharing Truth Through Medical and Dental Missions

We also want our community to see the body of Christ coming together outside the walls of our churches to be the hands and feet of Christ. We want them to see us working together, sharing in the beliefs that unite us as one and to carrying out the mission the Lord has placed before us.

To achieve this objective we operate a community clinic that offers non-emergency primary care, which includes medical, pharmaceutical, and dental services. In order to have an even greater impact on the quality of physical health care and spiritual growth of the citizens of Gwinnett County, primarily Lawrenceville, Truth’s Community Clinic also partners with another local faith based non-profit (Nothing but the Truth Ministry) to connect our patients with a Christ centered ESL program, Reading Club (K-5th) along with lessons in God’s Word and weekly dinners and Life Conversation Groups. Truth’s Community Clinic and Nothing but the Truth are in the same office complex and actually share some space. These two ministries are a natural fit to serve the spirit, mind and body of a person.
